Obituary for Connie Elizabeth Lowry

Connie Elizabeth White Lowry, 64, of Stanton, wife of 44 years to Keith Lowry, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Stanton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Connie was born in Wi******er, Kentucky on March 12, 1961 to Beverly “Snookie” White and the late Raymond White. She attended Powell County High School and was a retired Rural Carrier from the United States Postal Service and a former bus monitor for the Powell County Board of Education.
Nana, as she was referred to by many, enjoyed spending time in her kitchen cooking and baking, crafting, spending time with her grandkids and traveling with her husband and family.
While Nana Connie’s family grieves her loss, they choose to remember her for her unwavering compassion and love she showed all she came in contact with, including all the students on her bus and especially those less fortunate. Nana would be the first one to come home and find a coat or shoes for a kid she thought was cold or make sure she had extra snacks for a kid she thought might not have food. Her servant’s heart simply could not stand the thought of a kid going without.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica (William) Gardner, (of Lexington) and five grandchildren: Daylan Lowry and Hayden Moore (of Stanton) and Alex, Kennedy and Bryce Gardner (of Lexington). She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Keith Lowry and father, Raymond White; an awaited reunion the family takes comfort in knowing has happened.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at 2:00PM at Wells Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Molihan officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Friday, December 5th, 2025. Burial will follow at Stonegate Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William (BJ) Gardner, Daylan Lowry, Hayden Moore, Alex Gardner, Stuart Baird, Bryce Gardner and Scott Terrell. Join us for two opportunities to create some Christmas cheer! We will be designing our own stockings, putting up our tree and then making ornaments to decorate it, creating a Christmas village for the classroom, painting windows (oh yeah, it’s happening!), making coffee filter snowflakes, ugly sweater ornaments, and so much more. We hope every JROTC cadet can take part…and you get to eat dinner at the end!
