📅 The existing Giant Wheel was approved in 2001
✅ On Sept. 25, 2025 , approved a new 132’ wheel
🎡The original wheel closed in January, 2026.
🇮🇹 The new wheel was handcrafted in Italy and is 27’ taller than the original (17’ in diameter larger!)
✨ The new Giant Wheel will have the same dazzling lights + skyline glow

🚨 Gulliver’s Famous Creamed Corn Recipe 👇🏻

After my post about Gulliver’s closing generated so much interest, I noticed one thing kept coming up in the comments: the creamed corn. 🌽

🏡So I tracked down the restaurant’s recipe and wanted to share it here for everyone to save and enjoy at home.

One thing I found amusing while researching it: an older version of the recipe included MSG, but it appears to have been removed from the current version.

Our Famous Recipes
CREAMED CORN

Ingredients:
2 Pkgs. (20 oz.) Frozen Kernel Corn
8 oz. (1/2 pt.) Whipping Cream
8 oz. (1/2 pt.) Homogenized Milk
1 tsp. Salt
6 tsp. Sugar
Pinch White or Cayenne Pepper
2 tbsp. Melted Butter
2 tbsp. Flour

Method:
Combine all ingredients except the last two in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Blend butter with flour, add to the corn, mix well, and remove from heat.

Variation:
Put finished corn in a heat-proof casserole, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and place under a broiler until evenly browned.

Serves 8.

🚨 Is a new tenant finally taking over the former Hendrix restaurant space? 👇🏻

🕵🏻‍♀️I’ve been checking on this space for months (years?) and this is the first time I’ve seen a “lease pending” status. 🤔

👉🏻The expansive 8,000-square-foot restaurant was also once home to Chevy’s and Fred’s Mexican Cafe, which closed in 2015. Who remembers those spots?! 🌮
