Facebook. Chief. Low sixties to upper 50’s to our north Thursday morning with highs on Wed in mid 70’s. And it’s June. El Niño !!!!

Facebook. Chief here. Well tomorrow officially starts the season and a lot of requests have came In to start early, but I have to say, I’m all about bashing the fear mongering and I refuse to stir up anything until I see the need to for our neck of the woods. If it affects us, I’ll talk about it, if it doesn’t, don’t care . As for his season there is a lot of uncertainty but NHC is calling for a below avg year due to the super El Niño conditions occurring in the Pacific. El Niño generally means a lot of wind shear over the areas where our threats come from and their development is hindered because of this. Let’s all agree we need rain. We are still 28in under normal ranges and still in a drought so a welcome rain maker is welcomed. My prediction is 10 storms all season with maybe 5 hurricanes and 2 major . Could be way off, but statistically El Niño keeps the season at bay. We will see … Chief out
