Spent the morning working around our 2 remaining hives. Got rid of the weeds around them and spread diatomaceous earth. The definitely look a lot better, praying we can diminish the small hive beetle population.

Warning: sad post. We lost a hive to Small Hive Beetles. We dismantled the hive and put it in the deep freezer for 4 days. Today we trashed the foundations and power washed everything else. A bee came to help us clean up 😁🐝

Didn’t quite beat the rain, but the splash boards for the drip line is done. The temperature has dropped 16 degrees in an hour. We are hoping it rains all night, we sure need it.
