Why is Grad Night important besides a fun, last time the class can celebrate together? Please take a second to look at these sad statistics...this is why we work so hard every year to make this event happen:
In California in 2016, there were 3,623 traffic-related fatalities; 34% were alcohol-related.
In 2015, the leading causes of death among adolescents ages 15 to 19 in the United States are unintentional injuries such as car crash-related injuries.
With annual events like proms and graduation parties, the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day has been labeled “The 100 Deadliest Days” for teen drivers.
Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as all other drivers and that number goes up from 33% to over 40% on graduation night.
Statistics have shown that students celebrating on the evening of graduation can experience one of the most dangerous nights of their young lives. Our goal is to save lives by providing a safe and sober graduation night celebration.
