The district has earned statewide and national recognition, with awards such as Golden Bell, Schools to Watch, Civic Learning, and multiple Gold Ribbon and Distinguished School honors.

OUSD high schools have also been named U.S. News & World Report “Best” for six consecutive years, with more than 20 elementary and middle schools recognized as “Best” for two years in a row.

𝗬𝗘𝗧𝗜’𝗦 𝗦𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗! ⛄️ Southern California might be getting real Christmas snow this year — and perfect timing, because Yeti’s Snow Play officially opens December 20 at Mountain High Resort. Families can jump into tubing, sledding, and snow play right at the base of the East Resort.

On December 20-21, enjoy festive opening weekend activities like photos with Santa (12pm–1pm), bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, and free holiday crafts. Kids can build their own hot cocoa with sprinkles, cinnamon sticks, and marshmallows, while grown-ups sip seasonal favorites like Peppermint Foam Lattes and Hot Toddies.
