Every year, Luminaria can host more than 6,000 people per night, and people come from all over the country to experience the Christmas magic at Thanksgiving Point.✨
“There are instruments the kids can play, and the lights move with the sounds,” says Melinda Pike, chief marketing officer at Thanksgiving Point. “Last year was my first year experiencing Luminaria, and my children immediately went to the instruments in front of the singing trees. The kids get to orchestrate a show in this fully immersive experience not only for themselves, but in performance for their parents as well.” ❄️
Watching the children realize they are the ones controlling the lights through their music is an experience Melinda always treasures.

“As soon as one year of Luminaria is over, the planning for the next year begins,” Melinda says. “Last year was incredible. We had Post Malone attend and tell us it is his new favorite holiday tradition. Looking forward to this year, we’ve brought in new elements and surprises.”
