Back at it again with the concrete! 🛠️ Apparently, there are 1,000 wrong ways to mix a bag of Quikrete and I’m probably doing 999 of them according to the comments. But hey, the shed needs a home!

This pad is small, it’s hand-mixed, and it’s probably going to make the ‘structural engineers’ in my DMs lose their minds. But it’s level, it’s solid, and it’s one step closer to finally having some storage!

DIY pool.. hands down still my all time fave project! I would do it again instantly.

Hide the eyesore, not the airflow! 🌬️🛠️

I tackled a project to disguise the AC unit, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. While the goal was to make it disappear, keeping the unit running efficiently was the top priority.

Here’s the breakdown of the design:

• Maximum Airflow: I picked these panels specifically to ensure plenty of circulation so the system doesn’t overheat.

• Service-Ready: The panels are completely removable, making it easy for maintenance or repairs whenever needed.

It’s amazing how a simple screen can completely transform the look of the yard. Form meet function! 🏡✨

Basement progress report: We’re officially in the “no turning back” phase! 🏗️

Before we could hang a single sheet of drywall, we had to handle two very different priorities:

Safety: Used Fire Break foam to seal the gaps between studs where the electrical runs. It’s a non-combustible fireblock foam that’s a must-have for keeping things up to code.

Entertainment: We realized the only way a 100” TV was getting in here was through the window while the frame was out for drywall delivery. 📺 🫣

It was tight, it was stressful, but the theater room vision is coming to life! Next up: Mud and tape.

Drop a 😱 if you were nervous for the TV!

Still one of my all-time favorite projects! 🖊️✨ If you’re nervous about DIYing, the closet is the ultimate safe practice spot. It’s low stakes, high reward, and if you mess up? Just shut the door and we’ll never speak of it again. 😂

DIY isn’t just about the finished product; it’s about the pivots.

Today’s pivot? Patching a waterline I accidentally punctured with a nail gun.
Instead of calling for help, I figured out how to use a SharkBite fitting and handled it myself.

I’m walking away from this one with a dry floor and a lot more confidence. Always a student, leaning everyday. 🔧✨

Think it was worth it? Let me know on the poll below 👇🏻

Mom life + DIY life = always doing a little bit “extra.” 🛠️ What started as a quick refresh for my daughter’s bathroom turned into a full-blown sink upgrade!

But honestly? No regrets. I used AMP Kitchen & Bath sealant around the new sink—it’s waterproof in just 20 minutes and stays mold-resistant. Then, I prepped the walls with DAP Alex Plus before painting to get those crisp, seamless edges.

It’s all in the details (and the caulk). Would you have swapped the sink or stuck to the plan? 👇

The last stud is in! 🏁 Part 3 of my solo basement framing is officially a wrap.

I finished up the final closet and the last few doorways. Honestly, the biggest game-changer for these smaller cuts was ditching the circular saw for my mini miter saw. It’s way more precise for these tight measurements, and my arms are definitely thanking me. 💪

The “bones” of the basement are done! Now, who’s ready for the next phase?

Let me know if you want a link to my fave mini miter saw! Comment “SAW” and I’ll send it!

In Part 2 of my solo basement build, I’m pivotting. I found that framing the walls in place works way better for me than building them on the ground and trying to lift them alone.

Should we do a walk in shower? Or tub shower combo? Part 3 next!

I’ve come a long way from where we started, but I thought I’d repost this baby to show the beginning. This is part one of framing our basement myself.

One person, a lot of lumber, and a whole lot of trial and error. 🛠️

I decided to take on framing the basement entirely by myself. I’m learning as I go—figuring out how to crown studs, snap chalk lines, and manhandle top plates into place without a second pair of hands. It’s not always perfect, but it’s getting done!

Stay tuned for Part 2 to see how the rest of these walls come together. 🏠💪

Soft Start Jan: A gentle, slow-paced approach to clearing space. I’m trying to pick 2 small spaces a week in Jan to declutter and organize. I want to start the year off with a clear mind and the mess is adding to my stress 🤷🏻‍♀️ so here we go!

On another note is your tree still up? Lol

Love this makeshift mini butlers pantry for my appliances and food, it’s been working for my family for 3 years now and I still love it.
