Over 20,000 gathered in Salt Lake City as Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez brought their “Fighting Oligarchy” tour to the University of Utah. 🗣️

BREAKING: UVU announces immediate closure of the Center for Intercultural Engagement.

The shutdown follows new state legislation restricting DEI programs. In response, student group Spectrum UVU has organized a sit-in and will be holding a community meeting this Thursday at 4 p.m. in the LGBTQ+ Intercultural Engagement Lounge to discuss next steps.

UVU students are taking action! Representatives from the Protect Utah Workers Coalition are gathering signatures on campus to challenge House Bill 267, which prohibits public employers from recognizing unions as bargaining agents. They aim to collect 200,000 signatures by April 18 to bring this issue to a public vote. 🗳️

UVU students recently made their voices heard at the United Nations, advocating for mountain women and girls who are often overlooked in global discussions.

Through the Utah International Mountain Forum, they pushed for more recognition of mountain communities' contributions to environmental protection and the challenges they face due to climate change.

Big news! The Sundance Film Festival is leaving Park City, Utah, and moving to Boulder, Colorado in 2027. After 40+ years in Utah, the decision was influenced by the need for more venues and recent changes in state legislation. UVU on Top! Against 45 elite teams worldwide, UVU’s "W0LV3R1NES" dominated the 2025 Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge, taking 1st place in this high-stakes cybersecurity competition!

From briefing officials at the White House, CIA, and Department of Defense to out-researching top universities, these students proved that hard work and Wolverine grit can take on the best.
