The first production was an AIDS Awareness short film, “The Party’s Over,” which was entered into film festival competition. Followed by two plays, “The Girl Next Door” and “Family Values,” both of which were performed in front of sold out crowds at the Impacte Productions Theatre Space. Not limited to film and theatre, Brooklyn Star Entertainment has entered into the television with, “Making the Grade,” a 30-minute sitcom.

The show will be performed in the Santos Dantin theatre at Orlando Shakes 812 E. Rollins St. Orlando, FL 32803.

August 11-12 at 8:00 PM EST and August 13th at 3:00 PM EST.
August 18-19 at 8:00 PM EST and August 20th at 3:00 PM EST.

Tickets are $15.00 and can be bought at the door via cash or credit card.

Each night we are doing something special called the “Patron’s Raffle”. You can buy a raffle ticket 2 for $5.00 or 6 for $10.00 and if your ticket is selected, you win half the pot with the rest going to support the PRT and our phenomenal performers. The tickets can only be purchased with cash so if you want to support the organization and the performers bring cash.

The PRT is casting for a variety of different roles for Summer Shorts 2023. Summer Shorts 2023 is an anthology series of 8 short plays. You can view the casting specifics for each link when you sign up using the audition link below:

Last night was the Tech Rehearsal for Black and Blue and Red for Playwrights' Round Table Black History Shorts. The show opens this Friday at 8:00.

This is the final weekend of performances the short play, “Going Nowhere, Fast” written by Tony Pelham and directed by J. Anthony D’Aguiar for Playwrights' Round Table 2023 Launch Seriesfor the PRT.

The show is being performed at the Orlando Shakes. Tickets are $20.00 parking at the Shakes is $5.00. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 8:00 and Sunday at 3:00.

There is a special raffle that takes place during the show where the raffle winner win half the pot generated. If you would like to participate bring cash to the show, you can’t participate in the raffle with a credit card.

J. Anthony D’Aguiar is directing Going Nowhere, Fast written by Tony Pelham for the Playwright’s Round Table’s Launch 2023 series. The show stars Edward Nunez, Samantha Stonecipher and Roswell Strauss.

The shows are Jan 13-15 and the 20-22. The Friday/Saturday shows start at 8:00 PM EST and the Sunday shows start at 3:00 PM EST at

The Playwright’s Roundtable is casting for its Annual Launch. Launch is a series of 10 minute plays so there are a variety of roles for actors of every culture, gender and age.

The auditions are at Central Christian Church 250 SW Ivanhoe Blvd Orlando, FL from 9 to 11 pm this evening. The actors selected will be paid a $25 stipend.
