As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been flying at the track much in the last year. This has been due to a few factors, but the main one is my desire to start drifting. Since I started flying, chasing drift cars was by far the best thing I could do with drones. It allowed me to enter an amazing community full of amazing people.
Unfortunately though, the time has come for me to finally retire my drones. I have accomplished quite a bit with them, I flew some amazing tracks, chased some amazing drivers, and ive mastered the art of chasing drift cars. I feel like I have peaked in the world of drones. All I have done is chase my dreams, now its time to live them. (See what I did there lol)
This is my 1985 BMW E30. Yes I know, it needs a ton of love. Like a s**t ton if I'm being honest. But I wanted this car because just like drones, it's going to teach me alot about building cars. I don't just want to drive, I want to build it, I want to learn how to weld, do my own fabwork, engine work etc. just like drones taught me how to solder and program.
I can't announce my retirement from drones without thanking the one person that literally gave me the opportunity to be where I am today in this community. Nicholas Kochosky, aka Spark Speed Shop.
When I decided to film drifting full time, I got a random DM from a guy in Naples I never heard of. I was nowhere near as good of a pilot as i am today. He asked me to fly for his team. If it wasn't for Nick, I probably wouldn't have progressed in this community the way I did. But he saw something in me for some reason. He gave me access to tons of events, introduced me to the drivers that make this community so great, and more importantly, he motivated me to push the envelope in my flying. Now, he's helped me acquire a car to finally do what I've always wanted to do.
Nick, this all started because of you, I will always and forever be grateful for everything you have invested in me. You always did your best to support me and the team, even when you got nothing out of it. So thank you for everything. It's been a journey and I hope to make the team proud as a driver the way I did as a pilot.
See yall on the track! 😎
