Every time I get new branding images, I feel like it marks another chapter in my business and life.

And for a while, I was feeling pretty uninspired.

After 12+ years in real estate marketing, I felt bored and like I was just going through the motions.

So, a couple of months ago, I decided to snap myself out of it.

I got really honest with myself about what needed to change, where there’s opportunity, what would light me up, and where I should pivot to next.

And then I got excited again!

The kind of excited where it’s 3AM, and I couldn’t sleep, so I’d be brainstorming in Claude.

The kind of excited where I decided to go all in on a BIG investment that required a serious heart-to-heart with my husband.

The kind of excitement where I could confidently say, “hey, this is my new direction,” and not feel like I was leaving something on the table.

That kind of energy, of course, requires new branding images.

So I reached out to Amy Jo at because I knew her talent and aesthetic aligned exactly with my new vision.

And to make it full circle, Amy Jo did my first ever branding images when I launched my podcast way back in 2019.

It’s been a wild ride since then.

I don’t know why I thought starting a business while going through 5 major hip surgeries (and all my autoimmune issues) was a good idea, but I’m glad I did.

Because since then, I’ve built something I’m incredibly proud of with Ideas for Real Estate, became a mom, and am celebrating my 20-year anniversary with my love this year.

Now, I wake up to a sweet little toddler smiling up at me every morning. Be still my heart. I’m busier than ever, and I can’t wait to share my new direction.

Don’t come at me! But I’ve heard people talk about real estate agents my whole life.

And I’ve heard them complain about them.

Never once have I heard the exact phrase, “they just open doors.”

So, why is that the saying all over social???

If you want to cut through the noise, address a real stereotype people think and why you’re different.

Here’s one to get you going…

Hook:
“Them: agents are over paid.
Me: tell that to my sellers who I just sold their home for over asking with multiple offers thanks to my professional marketing strategy.”

OR

“Them: agents are over paid.
Me: takes my buyers to see 30 homes over the course of 6 months, spends hundreds of hours working with them, racks up hundreds more miles on my car, and answers every late night text.”

Yes, this is a true story and every realtor who wants listing needs to hear it!

Conversations like this are happening every day in the neighborhoods you’re selling in!

So, instead of waiting to send a generic Just Sold postcard OR doing nothing….

Try this prospecting letter + quick zoom call “debriefing the sale” strategy to get more listings in the area.

Not the listing agent? Rework the text (disclose you were the buyer’s agent) and do the SAME thing!

If I had gotten this invite, you know I would be texting my neighbors to see if they were attending too.

Give it a try! It’s cheap, easy to do, and could be a door knocker if you want.

What they see: a listing video

What they don’t see: years learning the market, weeks prepping the home to sell, days developing the marketing plan, hours coordinating the video shoot…for a reel only seconds long

And it’s just one piece of getting the home sold!

Let’s make it as nauseating as possible and go so fast you can’t even see the listing 🫠

I get we’re all fighting for attention online.

But I can’t be the only one who is over these swooping listing videos!

A family member of mine was looking at listings in a 55* community from out of state.

The video they were trying to watch was whipping around every half a second and zooming from one space to the next.

I felt like I was going to be sick. How do you think they felt at 70????

We genuinely were trying to see a tour of the home!

Make it make sense 🤦‍♀️

📸 it’d be the OOTD one! I can see the people you know commenting and having fun with that one.

The one that will actually get you more listings?

🔑 the post that basically says, “other homes sold for this. not this one.”

Most shareable for people in your area?
