birthdays in january 🖤
January is the most stripped-down, no frills time of year. All of the sentimental decorations are put away, there’s cleaner in the air from wiping up the gum drops and candy canes and gingerbread. There’s an eerie silence in the world—sometimes from illnesses passed around from the holidays and sometimes from people getting their introvert time in after the holiday chaos.
but it’s a GREAT time to reflect and be grateful. to notice the subtle things and learn to love the day to day. to refresh and relax.
