Iām wrapping up my work week and found myself sitting quietly for a moment, processing a lot of what is happening in my life.
Social media has a way of showing the extremes. We share the wins, the celebrations, the smiles, and sometimes the moments when everything feels like it is falling apart. But so much of life happens somewhere in between.
And today, Iām somewhere in between.
Like everyone else, I have mental downswings. This week has thrown a few curveballs my way. There are things Iāve carried into the night, questions I donāt have answers to yet, and stress that cannot be solved simply by thinking about it harder.
Still, I have faith that if I keep moving forward and give life room to unfold, some of what feels heavy today will eventually become lighter.
The truth is, we are all carrying something others cannot see.
Work stress. Relationship stress. Confidence. Self-image. Finances. Family. The thoughts that somehow become louder when the world gets quiet.
We are human.
I woke up determined to have a positive day, but my head and heart feel a little off today. I know Iāll be okay. But strength doesnāt always mean pushing uncomfortable feelings away.
Sometimes you have to sit with the stress.
Feel it.
Understand it.
Process it.
Then keep moving.
I talk a lot about leadership, confidence, resilience, and self-worth. But none of those things make me immune from being human.
Today, Iām sitting in the stress for a little while.
Not surrendering to it. Just acknowledging that it is here.
Iāve been listening to ārib:cageā by Vraell, and it has been hitting differently today. It captures that feeling of being trapped inside your own thoughts, wanting rest but not quite finding it.
Maybe thatās why it connected with me.
Sometimes we donāt need someone to fix everything.
Sometimes we just need permission to say:
Today is heavy. Iām still here. And tomorrow, Iāll keep moving forward.
One day at a time. ā¤ļø
