Ten years. Countless students. One incredible legacy!
We recently had the honor of celebrating Eric Fleming and his 10+ years of dedication to the Valencia College Film Program.
Even after taking on the role of Chair of a second program, Eric never missed a beat. His commitment to his students, his colleagues, and this program has remained constant and we wanted him to see just how many lives he has impacted along the way.
Students and alumni from across the years came together to celebrate him, with those who couldn’t be there sending video messages filled with memories and gratitude. Family, faculty, staff, current students, and alumni all showed up to give Eric his flowers.
And because we know him well, we had to make it personal. We presented him with a custom Red Sox-inspired FILM CREW jersey and a crystal award commemorating a decade of dedication to the program.
Eric, thank you for ten+ years of showing up, leading, teaching, encouraging, and believing in your students and students turned staff. The room full of people who came to celebrate you, and the many more who sent their love from afar, said everything.
