Watch exclusive video content and listen to our podcasts via our Kingdom Builder platform. Today's Christian Entertainment (TCE) launched in January 2016 as a rebranding of the long-running website Christian Music Review (CMR), which originally debuted online in September 2004. Founded by radio host Jay Heilman, CMR built a reputation for insightful reviews from both established and emerging Chris

tian artists. With a vision to expand beyond music into all areas of Christian entertainment, TCE was created. TCE continues CMR’s Message First approach, focusing on music, film, and literature while providing the latest news, reviews, and exclusive interviews. Our mission is to inform, inspire, and encourage fans through quality content that supports their daily Christian walk. In addition to the website, TCE reaches audiences through Kingdom Builder TV (KBTV), our YouTube platform featuring in-depth artist interviews, industry insights, and engaging faith-based content. Leading the TCE team are Jay Heilman, Kelly Meade, and Mike Laxton, alongside lead reviewer Laura Chambers and a dedicated group of volunteers passionate about Christian entertainment.

A quarter century after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, TCE’s Jay Heilman recounts his personal memories of waking up that fateful Tuesday morning and watching the world change forever:

It is hard to fathom that a quarter of a century has passed since that crisp Tuesday morning. Twenty-five years later, the passage of time does little to soften the memory. Like millions of people across the world, every single detail of where I was and how the world shifted on its axis remains permanently etched into my mind.

I was living in Tampa, Florida, at the time; a month to the day from turning 21. Having worked late the previous evening, I woke up later than usual, settling into what I assumed would be an ordinary, quiet morning. My routine was second nature: I switched on the television to catch SportsCenter on ESPN, then walked into the kitchen to grab breakfast. Glancing back toward the screen, something felt distinctly off. ESPN wasn’t airing highlights; ABC News had preempted the broadcast.

At first glance, the wide camera angle showed an obscured skyline, with thick, dark smoke billowing into a cloudless blue sky. Leaning in closer, disbelief set in. That was the World Trade Center. The anchors spoke with hushed uncertainty, relaying initial, fractured reports that a small plane may have accidentally struck the North Tower.

Then came the moment that changed everything.

9:03AM. A small dark silhouette entered the frame, moving with terrifying deliberate speed. Seconds later, a massive fireball erupted from the side of the South Tower. The collective breath left the room. In a split second, confusion evaporated, replaced by the chilling realization that this was no tragic accident. Our nation was under attack.

From that living room in Tampa, I stayed glued to the screen in stunned silence, watching history fracture in real time. Just before 10:00 a.m., the unimaginable occurred: the South Tower collapsed in an avalanche of steel, glass, and dust. Less than thirty minutes later, the North Tower fell as well. Reports swiftly followed of another strike tearing into the Pentagon, and soon after, the crash of Flight 93 in a quiet field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where brave passengers took their stand. Watching it all unfold live stripped away any sense of distance; the horror was immediate, intimate, and devastating.

In the days, weeks, and years that followed, the full magnitude of that Tuesday took shape in the unbearable toll of nearly three thousand innocent lives lost. They were not merely a casualty count. They were mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. They were pilots and flight attendants just doing their jobs, office workers pouring their morning coffee, and the extraordinary first responders—firefighters, police officers, and paramedics—who ran directly into the fire and ash while everyone else was running out. Every one of them had started that morning under the same bright September sky, unaware of the darkness the day would bring.

A quarter-century later, the skyline may be rebuilt, but the void remains. We honor the resilience born out of that heartbreak, the everyday heroes who gave everything, and the enduring strength of the families who carry their absence forward every single day.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We will never forget.

Where were you on that Tuesday morning? How did you first hear the news, and how has the memory of that day stayed with you over the last 25 years? Please feel free to share your thoughts, stories, and reflections in the comments below—so that together, we can continue to honor and remember those we lost. 🙏🏻

Alan Ritchson's powerhouse action meets Owen Wilson's trademark quick wit in Angel Studios' latest release, Runner! 🎬💥

Directed by Scott Waugh and set against the scenic backdrop of Brisbane, Australia, the film delivers a relentless, high-stakes race against the clock to save a young girl's life. While it leans into classic buddy-action comedy vibes reminiscent of Shanghai Noon and the hard-hitting momentum of Taken, how does it stack up as a whole?

From its bruising PG-13 edge to a powerful underlying parallel to John 15:13, we break down what works, where it stumbles, and what parents need to know before heading to the theater.
