So can I be honest? Today is the 2nd year anniversary of my podcast #𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘷𝘺 and it is hitting me hard bc I've had to put it on hiatus to focus on the business⁣
⁣
I don't share much personally but this passion project was 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐨 dear to my heart and I created it to help my community get better with their finances. But sometimes passion projects need more than your passion to move forward... ⁣
⁣
I truthfully felt like a failure for having to put it on hiatus and I can't express how conflicted I've been feeling lately about it... ⁣
⁣
I had the opportunity to interview 𝐒𝐎𝐎𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 amazing ppl and I am 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 for that so I am looking at this anniversary as a positive rather than a negative!⁣

I have 2 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 to share with you!!⁣

So this week has had a crazy whirlwind!⁣
⁣
We packed up our house and it got shipped, we moved into a hotel and I had an amazing interview from my hotel room... ⁣
⁣
Then we boarded a flight before the crack of dawn and then my podcast @𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘷𝘺 was featured by @𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬, to my surprise!! I was notified by one of my favourite clients and past guests!⁣
⁣
Then we landed and saw like 10 homes in 3 hours lol⁣
⁣
Then that interview I did in our hotel room was released! He is quick lol ⁣
⁣

I wanted to share my family timeline...⁣

3rd week in July - hubby gets 3 offers to contemplate (bc he is pretty awesome) .... we pray and fast and come up with a response 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝⁣
⁣
𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡, I give my notice for Aug 16th⁣
⁣
𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟑𝟏𝐬𝐭, I clean my entire house, not just clean clean but staging clean - like ironing bed skirts and sh*t lol⁣
⁣
𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝐧𝐝 list our home⁣
⁣
𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔𝐭𝐡, 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘢'𝘴 𝘣𝘥𝘢𝘺 and get an offer! ⁣
⁣
We now need to find our new home and move across the east coast, from south to north and get our kids in school, 5th grade and kindergarten... ⁣
⁣
𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟔-𝟏𝟖, packing⁣

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 moving⁣

All this was just to share that I am now seeing the craziness of my life! ⁣

I am so blessed that I am getting to go full time in my business bc of this move! ⁣

How are you all doing on this ?

Let’s chat about how you can win at saving

1️⃣ pay yourself 1st - so I still believe in creating a Healthy Money Menu ® aka budget. I believe you need to tell your money where to go and know where it is going. With that said, I always advocate for including a line to pay yourself! That is make sure every pay, every income some goes to you!

2️⃣automate your savings- I think the best way to ensure you are always doing something is to set it up and forget it! This means set up your transfer to happen automatically.
2 options are going directly to HR (W2 fam members) and have a certain amount deducted from your pay check sent to a separate account. Or setting up an auto transfer directly through your bank once your paycheck hits your account

3️⃣ Open an online savings account - so I always recommend having at least 2 but always more than 1 account. I think online savings accounts are amazing bc they allow you to earn a much higher rate than typical brick and mortar banks AND you do not have immediate access to the funds so you are not as likely to spend your money while you are saving it!

4️⃣ Name your account- so studied show that when you tie your goal to something tangible you are more likely to achieve it. So change the name of your new online savings account “trip to Nawlins” if you were saving for the happening this weekend... can you tell I wish I was there lol

Today is July 1st and that means 6 months have passed and we have 6 months to go in 2019...

I had made plans to create and maintain my Healthy Money Menu® every month and pay myself $100 each month.

Was I able to do that this far?
Yes and No, I was able to create my HMM aka budget BUT I did not stick to it entirely!

I did invest money monthly to my stock investment group and I am happy to report that I was about to invest $150 monthly!
