The first photograph was captured by Robert Sabo at 6:23 am on September 11th, 2001. The second image depicts the aftermath of the same day. Notably, Robert Sabo did not take the second photograph. It is striking how something or someone can be present one minute and gone just a few hours later.

Sometimes I wonder if they weren’t destroyed, what would they be like today?
The answer will never be known.

I’ll be taking a break from posting for this weekend. I’ll be back to posting on Monday. It’s nice to see how much love there was for the World Trade Center and its history and rememberance.
