Oramos por la familia de nuestro amigo Alex!
Statement from Wurm family
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We wanted to extend our deepest thanks to those of you who have shown love and kindness to our family during this heartbreaking season in our lives. We want you to know that your prayers have been uplifting and strengthening us. Even though we are in the darkest valley, we truly feel the nearness of God. Thank you for your love; we cherish you all.
Many years ago, the Lord called our family to the Caribbean, giving Alex, the head of our family, a clear vision and deep compassion for these islands. This, however, was not a burden he carried alone; our family was united in this desire to see the Caribbean saved, and, as Alex would say, we know many others had also “caught the vision”. We want to encourage you not to give up hope but to run the race set before you with endurance. We, as the Wurm family, do not feel that the call on our lives has changed, and we are committed to serving the Caribbean and continuing on Ignite the Fire in whatever capacity the Lord asks.
We ask for your support in the months ahead as we continue to process Alex and Serena’s passing, and for your patience as we prepare a Celebration of Life for them in the new year. We understand how painful this is for everyone, and we gently ask for your understanding and respect as we make the decisions we feel are best for our family.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
