One lucky couple from England won £100,770 ($126,000) in the lottery and they plan to use the money on fostering children. They are now working on renovating their garage to build extra bedrooms for the kids that they will care for in the future.

Mark Reece, 42, plays the EuroMillions every week, to the dismay of his wife, Kathleen, 41. She thinks they're not lucky enough to win the lottery.

Retirement didn't stop this 85-year-old from working. Johnny Stringer from Orange County serves as a volunteer for Orlando Police Department and his age didn't prevent him to be their top volunteer.

A retired member of the Navy, Stringer joined OPD's Citizen Observer Program (C.O.P) in 2003. He trained during a 12-week course to observe the neighborhood and report suspected criminal activity.

An 85-year-old continues to serve Orange County by being the eyes and ears of the Orlando Police Department.

A district south of Paris is rediscovering how it is like to become a good neighbor. With millions of people living in the City of Lights, many suffer from social isolation and loneliness. This occurs in many urban areas, but especially in Paris, where tourists go in and out of the city, people always moving and going somewhere and not making connections with others.

An unfortunate mix-up put an embarrassing blemish on the 54th annual Fourth of July Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, the world’s largest 10K. In the women’s elite division, defending champion Senbere Teferi led much of the race, but on the final approach to the finish line, sprinting behind three police motorcycle escorts, Teferi followed a policeman who, unexplainably, turned onto a side street.

Most Floridians are familiar with Henry Flagler, the notable 19th-century American industrialist, but few are aware of the foundation of faith that fueled much of his direction and many of his decisions.

To prepare to tell the story of Henry Flagler, we started with a tour of the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum (Flagler Museum) in Palm Beach, guided by Mr. David Carson, Public Affairs Director.

Poverty can lead people to crime, to lose hope in life or give up on their dreams, but not Rehan Staton. His circumstances in life didn't prevent him from aiming high and reaching his goals.

Rehan endured a lot of hardships that may cripple many. Abandoned by his mother at 8, his father solely raised him and his older brother.

Poverty didn't stop a former trash hauler to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer.

The UK has an ageing population and it is estimated that by 2040, nearly one in seven people is projected to be aged 75. Senior living concepts are evolving to cater to the diverse needs of elderly people in Britain. Today, seniors can choose whether to live their sunset years in communities that provide a high level of independence or those that provide a greater level of support.

A local resident of Meridian, Mississippi celebrated another huge milestone in her life recently. Family and close friends surrounded Julia Mae Hunter-Rice as she turned 107 years old on June 2.

Born in 1916, Ms. Rice danced and smiled as her loved ones sang happy birthday to her. Dorothy Dickson, her daughter, shared with WTOK-TV that, "Her secret is smiling and being fair.

A woman from Mississippi celebrated her 107th birthday and she shared her secret to having a long life.
