Sad. Alone. Heart aching, yet feeling a sense of peace at the same time. Running on 0 hours of sleep within the last 24 hours, with another 24 hours of travel time ahead of me. Pretty much hating life in this moment.

This was me. Completely exposed as I recently sat in a corner on the cold airport floor in Guatemala next to a windowsill covered in nasty breadcrumbs. No filter, no makeup (I don’t wear any anyways), frizzy hair and eyes puffy from crying all night.

I was physically and emotionally exhausted. I was still crying, out in the open, trying to hide my face from passersby. But why do we do that? What is so shameful about expressing our feelings?

Whatsup guys! This is Kaya, one half of your favorite new podcast, “Say What Kaya?!”
🙋🏾‍♀️
A little about me...
🎤
I’m a 30-year-old, free spirited, world wandering, festival fairy! I love to laugh, give hugs and bring light into the lives of everyone around me. Not saying I’m always this way though...80/20 y’all. Gotta find the balance.
🌗😉
I’m an open book and will spill the beans about pretty much anything that goes on in my life; there’s no such thing as TMI.
🤪😇
I’m a hopeless romantic, an experience ju**ie (I’ll try anything once), and I’ve been told on many occasions that the emoji to describe me and my life is a 🎢 rollercoaster! I can often be found dwelling in the crowd of a Reggae show, frolicking on a beach or mountain somewhere, or just completely hibernating at a friends house for weeks.
Oh...did I mention I’m essentially homeless? Yup. I’m a nomad. How does that work for someone who‘s a perfectionist with a slight case of OCD? I have no idea haha but I’m happy over here just trying to figure this life out!
😂🤷🏾‍♀️
Welcome to our world! , and I will be spilling a whole bunch of beverages all over the place in this fun, yet very real, new podcast. And if you want to know even more about me and what I do in my day to day life as a nomad, feel free to follow my individual journey on ! 💫

Happy Monday tribe!!⁣

Hope you guys are planing to start this week off better than last week. I know for me trying to eat so clean for past 4 months has got me the past two weeks binging on all of my Munchie goodness of ramen and staying mellow with a glass of merlot or Pinot Grigio whilst being entertained with mukbangs. 🙈🙊🙉⁣

•⁣

But did you know that processed sugars are a drug and is even more addicting than herion. That having too many cheat meals and “just a piece of that” can add up quickly causing your body to give you messages you may no longer can ignore? ⁣
I’m no crack head but I can definitely notice when one of too many treats are making my hormones and menstrual cycle imbalanced or I just can’t stop craving processed foods. ⁣

•⁣

I’m still on my journey practicing veganism and becoming more discipline in my decision making with food. But as for a reminder to you and myself. This is a process and transition that’s already hard and doesn’t need you being even more hard on yourself. There will be a day or few that you’ll fall off but take the next moment that comes by to start over because everyday is a new day and it’s marathon not a race. So enjoy the process and find ways to make it healthy and consistent for you to easily stay on your mindful eating journey. ⁣

Also leave in the comments if you’ve ever seen the Netflix documentary ? ⁣

⚠️ WARNING: ⚠️This film may cause you to go vegan, wanting to protest the pink cross foundation and move out of state to start growing your own food.

After being treated to an incredible 3 days at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, drinking all the different versions of Butterbeer and surviving off of fish & chips, my insides were SCREAMING for some greens!

Up until this long awaited binge sesh (I’ve legit dreamed of having Butterbeer since I was a child reading about it in the Harry Potter books), I’d been eating a mostly healthy, pescatarian diet. It’s pretty effortless for me to stick with healthy meals that are also delicious. So when I spent 3 days straight eating nothing but sugar and fried/processed foods, my poor vessel was like, “What the actual f**k, Kaya?!”

So upon my return home, I dove back into my easy go-to meals: huge salads, delicious smoothies and various dishes containing eggs (swipe left to see all of the healthy yumminess). My body was happy once again which boosted my mood, began to clear up my skin, and made me feel like ME again!

If I have to label myself, I say I’m pescatarian. I was raised eating this way, so no, I’ve never felt deprived of meat or anything like that. Nowadays, I’ll have some chicken every once in awhile, but I try not to.

What about you? If you had to label your diet/way of eating, what would it be? Are you vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, carnivore, breatharian (google it if you haven’t heard of it 😶), fruitarian?

Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Saynabou but everyone knows me as Say, Sayna, Sayn or you new Bou-boo 🥰. I’m 29 this June, love to be funny and make people laugh, relatable and to be real trying to stay consistently consistent with this new vegan life but hey it’s a lifestyle change so don’t send me to vegan hell if you see me talking about craving fried chicken 🤤
•••

I try to focus on the best things that life has to offer and learn from everything while share with new and old friends how they can apply it to their lives. I love talking and getting close to people. Communication is key says the ♊️ in me. If I had to look at my life from the outside in, I’d say it’s almost every episode of S*x and the City (I’m Carrie) and my glass is always over flowing of merlot.. I mean water 🤦🏾‍♀️
•••

My girl will be spilling all the tea, wine, coffee whatever you decide to drink with us during our pod cast as we dive deep into life and help you with yours.
•••

Come on over to my personal account to get to know me more and don’t be shy to follow and chit chat with me as you watch me try to keep my sanity 💋💋
