One year of Epic Universe 🎉

Last year at this time, we were sitting at home watching opening day livestreams with our two-week-old baby asleep in our laps, dreaming about the day we’d finally get to experience this park for ourselves. Now, we’re reminiscing on our January trip and already counting down the days until we’re back!

From the incredible theming and immersive worlds to the amazing food and unforgettable rides, Epic Universe truly brought something new and exciting to the theme park world. Every land felt like stepping into a different adventure and the entire experience gave us memories that will last a lifetime!

We are so thankful we got to visit within Epic’s very first year and we already know this is just the beginning of many more trips to come.

POV: You went to Universal for the rides… but came home with a suitcase full of shirts

One of our favorite souvenirs from our last trip to Universal was all the themed apparel we picked up throughout the parks! Universal seriously has some of the BEST merch and we could not pass up repping some of our favorite rides, characters, and park icons! There’s just something about throwing on a theme park tee that instantly takes you back to warm sunny days, butterbeer in hand!

It’s National Tater Tot Day! 🥔🎉

And if you know us, you know we can’t celebrate without shouting out the tater tots from Green Eggs and Ham in Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando 🤤
From buffalo chicken and green eggs and ham tots to cheeseburger tots and who hash, this snack stand is constantly serving tots that are crispy on the outside and loaded with tons of flavor! Whether you’re grabbing them between rides or making them a must-stop food stop, Green Eggs and Ham tots are easily one of our favorite theme park snacks.

✨Our First Stay at Lowes Portofino Bay✨

We finally checked this off our Universal Orlando bucket list and I must say, staying at Portofino Bay was such a treat! From the peaceful harbor views to the stunning Italian-inspired vibes, this hotel is all about relaxation, beauty, and luxury. We truly felt like we were in an Italian villa, not a half a mile away from our favorite theme parks!

The bathroom and bedroom were huge! This made such a difference when traveling with our baby girl. It gave us the space we needed to comfortably provide everything for our baby girl in her home away from home! From being able to set up her pack and play and toys in the bedroom to washing her bottles in the bathroom sink, this is the perfect space for a young family!

Finally, let’s talk about those Unlimited Express Passes! Being able to cut our wait time in half or more on rides throughout Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure was a real game-changer with our baby girl! This made our park days so much smoother, allowing us to do more than we originally thought we’d be able to do with our 8 month old!

This resort truly felt like an escape. And, you know what made this even better? The fact that it was only a 10 minute walk from our happy place! Between the luxurious resort, the convenient water taxi access, early park admission, and the unlimited express passes, our stay at Lowes Portofino Bay was truly magical!

Yesterday we shared what mom is packing ✨
The day before that, it was dad’s Universal fits.
So today, it’s only right that we share some of the most themed outfits the littlest Clark will be wearing on our trip 💕

This is our daughter’s first Universal trip and picking her theme parks outfits has been so much fun! We are so excited to see our favorite place through the eyes of our favorite person 🥹
