A meandering Zombie flick is out in limited Theaters now!
After an environment change, The Dead Don't Die 🧟♀️🧟♀️ anymore. Bill Murray, Adam Driver, and Chloë Sevigny are local police in a small Pennsylvanian town. They banter about what to do, as do residents like Caleb Landry Jones, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, and Danny Glover. The film is packed with Actors and that's some of the charm. One of the major problems is the sheer lack of character development or any kind of arcs. Several small roles by the likes of Selena Gomez, RZA, Tom Waits, Rosie Perez, and Iggy Pop are really too small or pointless to even mention.
Art House/Indie Director Jim Jarmusch assembled this great cast only to kill much of them off. He once again wastes the audience's time to gift us a slice of life Drama, this time fooling us with Zombieland ⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏-level hopes of Comedy. We haven't seen many of his Films because they are generally just filled with boring, ordinary conversations. These include Coffee&Cigarettes ☕️☕️☕️, Only Lovers Left Alive, Broken Flowers, Ghost Dog, and several we've never even heard of.
Jim is also the Writer, so he's completely responsible for your dashed hopes. Some storylines seem interesting, but go nowhere. The zombies being a bit different and the cast are really the only reasons to watch this. There's also a few decent jokes, but many of them are killed to death from the tedious nature and violent repetition.
You can tell that we weren't fans. Jim takes his biggest release for any of his Films and unfortunately, squanders it. We were rooting for it, but halfway through, we could tell that we were not going to be satisfied with it, no matter how many times they play that damn title song.
Did you see it? What did you think? What's your favorite zombie Movie? Tell us at RATED AWESOME TO AWFUL.
