What fills my heart with joy?!? 💛

Motherhood.

To all the mamas out there - HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!

How did I spend mine - I got to wake up slowly, stay cozy in bed, and enjoy breakfast while being loved on by my boys. Jack Fox made me beautiful little gifts, and Dave surprised me with the most incredible video filled with clips of me and our Foxy Boy together through everyday mom-life moments. It absolutely warmed my heart and brought the happiest tears to my eyes. 🥹

The day continued with a picnic at the lake and a paddle boat ride where Jack Fox proudly steered us around like the sweetest little captain. ⚓️🦊 Then home for a long nap (truly a Mother’s Day gift in itself 😂). We even fed the duckies and geese. The boys got McDonald’s and I enjoyed some Whole Food salad bar take away.

We wrapped up the day with some tennis, a little pool time, and a random smorgasbord of leftovers for dinner — honestly, perfection.

Nothing extravagant. Just love, laughter, fresh air, family time, and soaking in this beautiful season of motherhood.

A day well enjoyed indeed. My heart is so full, and I feel incredibly blessed. 💛

Moms really don’t want much… just a room that stays clean longer than 14 seconds.

Maybe a hot cup of coffee, a little peace and quiet, a full night of sleep, and not stepping on a Monster Jam truck barefoot 😅

But honestly? Even in the chaos, these are the moments we’ll remember someday. The tiny cars everywhere, the laughter echoing through the house, the imaginative play, the mess that somehow reappears seconds after cleaning it all up.

Motherhood is exhausting, messy, loud, beautiful, and filled with so much love. 💗

This Mother’s Day, here’s to the moms balancing it all:
✨ the toy pickups
✨ the endless laundry
✨ the snack requests
✨ the bedtime battles
✨ and the beautiful little lives making the mess in the first place

A clean home sounds relaxing…
…but so does silence and uninterrupted sleep 😂

Proof that you don’t need much to create something really special. 🧪💗🍃🦊

I built a mud kitchen for Jack Fox using mostly things we already had — a free pallet, thrifted pots, dollar store scoops, and treasures from nature. Add in some potion water, eco glitter, flowers, and a little dirt + water… and suddenly you’ve got a full-on backyard potion lab. ✨

This is the kind of play that slows everything down — mixing, scooping, imagining, creating. No rules, no right way… just curiosity and magic in the making.
