A big focus going into 2023 is to build a branded Youtube network that hits the advertising angle from many genres. I totally anticipate that it will be a learning process that evolves with many mistakes and wins.
I’m making this post so that you can have a running log of the journey and how hard or easy things are realistic. No gimmicks.
I currently am a teacher and inspiring woodworker. However, I wear many hats like many of my fellow humans. My channel brand will gravitate around things that have been created and executed nicely in general. This will span from gear, tech, and things I do myself.
My first video is about me making a moon backdrop for my wife’s event decor business. There are definitely things I could have improved on in this video. One thing, in general, is that I didn’t script the video so it wasn’t well structured in terms of voice-over.

This second video is about me painting the backdrop. I did a voice-over that was sharper and used my Snow Ball mic. I do think it sounded more coherent. However, I would do more voice punch in’s to emphasize aspects of the video.

This third video had its own issues. I used my sound core pro headphones while I recorded. These had me out there butt naked with the audio because the mic was so inconsistent. I think I’ll rock with a lapel mic or a high-quality Bluetooth mic. Rode makes a good set but its not in my current budget. For now, I’m balling on a budget.

Hopefully, y’all stick around for the journey. I’m here for all the constructive criticism so please bring the heat.
