Nominations are OPEN for the Grand Marshal of the 6th Annual Pine Hills Parade hosted by the Pine Hills Community Council! We’re looking for someone who represents the very best of Pine Hills through leadership, service, community impact, and Pine Hills pride.

Breaking into the entertainment industry takes more than talent. It takes knowledge, connections, persistence, and knowing how to navigate the industry.

UrbanFest 360° brought together an incredible lineup for “Breaking In: From Talent Agents to Casting Directors,” giving aspiring creatives an opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals about what it really takes to get in the room and build a career.

The panel featured Lucky Johnson of Tyler Perry Studios, Marisol Robles of DETOUR CASTING, Michael Polcino, Director & Animator of The Simpsons, and several other talented industry professionals.

From casting and representation to animation and production, the conversation offered valuable insight into the many paths available to creatives looking to break into film and entertainment.

UrbanFest 360° brought industry professionals together for “SAG-AFTRA 101: Contracts, Stunts, & Everything In Between!” a conversation designed to give creatives a deeper understanding of the business behind the performances.

The panel featured Carol Bailey, SAG-AFTRA Board Member, the Boseman Brothers, and more industry professionals sharing insights on contracts, performer protections, stunts, working in the industry, and everything in between.

UrbanFest 360° is in full swing in Orlando!

GGR Marketing & PR and CAP Village Orlando are on the ground covering it all, from the films and creative conversations to the performances, panels, special guests, and awards celebrating some of the incredible voices shaping culture and entertainment.

Today’s programming is especially significant, as members of Chadwick Boseman’s family are joining UrbanFest 360° for the tribute and Legacy Award honoring his enduring impact. The evening’s awards program will also recognize Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and former U.S. Representative Val Demings, alongside other distinguished honorees.

We’re proud to be here capturing the stories, moments, and people making UrbanFest 360° a memorable celebration of film, culture, community, and creativity.

🎬🐎 **UrbanFest 360° is about more than one weekend — it’s about creating futures.**

Through the **Creative Futures** program, approximately **120 young people** will get the chance to step into a completely different experience this Saturday — learning the fundamentals of **horseback riding, roping, and horsemanship**, with urban cowboys helping introduce them to the culture and skills behind it.

And this is only the beginning.

Creative Futures is being developed as **year-round programming**, with experiences planned throughout the year to expose young people to new industries, new skills, creative careers, and opportunities they may never have imagined for themselves.

As Derek shared in our conversation, the people working behind the scenes are often the **“nuts and bolts” that make everything happen.**

That’s why UrbanFest 360° is more than a festival. It’s about building connections, creating access, and developing the next generation.

🖤🎬 HONORING A LEGACY THAT CONTINUES TO INSPIRE

When UrbanFest 360° Founder Timothy Starks began thinking about creating a legacy award, there was one name he knew he wanted to honor: Chadwick Boseman.

For Timothy, Chadwick represented the very best of the craft.

That vision became even more meaningful when Chadwick’s brothers connected with the festival and expressed their desire to participate — not simply to accept an award, but to join the conversations and discussions surrounding his legacy.

With the festival also looking toward what would have been Chadwick’s 50th birthday, the opportunity became about more than an award. It became a celebration of his life, his work, and the impact he continues to have on generations of artists and audiences.
