Sometimes you have to stop rescuing people and allow them to figure it out for themselves. You can love somebody, care about them, and still refuse to keep sinking just to keep them afloat. At some point, they have to learn how to swim too. 💯

Y’all, my cousin asked me to borrow $300 because her light bill was supposedly about to get cut off. She promised she would pay me back that Friday.
Friday came. Nothing.The next week she said her check was short and asked me to give her a little more time. Cool. I wasn’t going to argue with her about it.
Then Saturday morning I get on Facebook and see this girl in Atlanta. New hair, new clothes, steak dinner, drinks, everything.I still didn’t say anything.A few days later she texted me asking if I was mad at her because I had been acting distant. I told her no, I was fine.Well yesterday she called me saying her car had broken down and asked if I could come pick her up.I said, “Girl I would, but I spent my gas money paying somebody’s light bill.” Then I put my phone on Do Not Disturb and went back to watching TV.Now my auntie says I was being petty because I could’ve at least helped her get home.I could have.But Atlanta looked like a beautiful place to learn independence.

Y’all I need to know if I’m wrong because I’m really not seeing it 😭 Me and my boyfriend have been together almost 3 years and he’s been living with me for almost 2. He lost his job last year and I pretty much held everything down until he got back on his feet. Rent, lights, food, his phone bill... everything. I never threw it in his face because that’s my man and I thought that’s what you do when somebody you love is going through something.

Well he’s been working again for about 3 months now and only gives me $200 toward the house. I didn’t really question it because I figured he was trying to catch up on stuff.

Tell me why I found out this man has been sending his mama $700 EVERY MONTH??? 😐 Mind you, his mama is married and her husband works.

So I asked him why he can send her $700 but only give $200 to the house he actually lives in. This man looked me dead in my face and said, “My mama was here before you.”

Okay cool 😂

I packed his stuff while he was at work and dropped it off at his mama’s house. Since she was there before me, I figured she could have him back.

Now he’s mad, his mama is calling me childish, and my sister said I took it too far.

But did I?? Because I feel like I just helped him get his priorities in order 😭😂

Would y’all have put him out or talked it out? Because I’m not apologizing.
