I thought I’d explain a little more clearly what Crown & Mane is and where I’m headed.

When I closed my Mount Dora studio, I spent the next two years maintaining my core clientele while continuing specialized education in hair extensions, hair replacement, wigs, toppers, cranial prosthetics, scalp care and non-surgical hair-loss solutions. I’ve also had business mentorship through the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce while preparing to open here.

My intention was always to open a hair studio—not a traditional salon.

Think of it a little like the difference between a medical spa and a traditional “fluff” spa. There can absolutely be beauty and fun here, but there is a specialty behind what I do.

My focus is scalp health, head spa, thinning hair, hair loss and wearable hair—whether someone has experienced hair loss from a medical issue, wants to replace the density she used to have, needs a topper combined with extensions, wants a full wig or semi-permanent non-surgical hair replacement, or simply wants to wear fabulous hair because it’s FUN. Festival hair and colorful wearable pieces belong here, too. Hair doesn’t have to be a medical necessity to be something you wear.

I also provide the color and cutting necessary to make these solutions work beautifully for my clients.

Insurance-eligible cranial prostheses are on the way. I initially planned to work as a contractor through a third-party company that handled the insurance side. After learning more about that model, I’ve decided I’d rather work toward handling it myself so I can keep pricing where I believe it should be for people experiencing a medical need—not inflate costs simply because insurance may be involved.

And one thing will not change:

I will never charge for a hair-loss or hair-replacement consultation.

You should be able to sit down, tell me what’s happening with your hair, learn what your options are and decide what feels right for you without paying just to have the conversation.

Crown & Mane is about the hair you grow, the hair you’ve lost, and the hair you choose to wear. 👑

Each bundle includes a coordinated mix of clip-in hair, braids, feathers & charms in the same color family. Wear them around the temples or clip them underneath at the nape for pops of texture, color and movement.

Not everyone wants to commit to permanent extensions or hours of expensive color. Sometimes you just want a little more hair on top, a fuller bob, longer hair for the weekend, new bangs, or a fun pop of color.

I’m putting together an entire collection of clip-in fringe toppers, toppers & extensions that you OWN. Clip them in, blend them with your hair, wear them for the day, and take them out at night.

I’m so excited to announce that Magic Mane by Crown & Mane will be popping up around the community!

Magic Mane is my chance to take everything I love about hair and do something a little unexpected with it.

I’ll be creating pre-made synthetic hair pieces, braids, ponytails, wraps and festival hair that you can purchase and wear again. I can install your piece for you, or simply help you choose the one that works best with your own hair.

Think of it as adding hair to your wardrobe. 👑

Just like jewelry, shoes or a great handbag can completely change an outfit, HAIR can be an accessory too.

After almost three decades behind the chair, I still believe hair should be FUN.

Now I get to take that creativity outside the salon and into the community.
