Learn to make non toxic dish soap 🫧

Did you know that your dish soap is one of the most toxic things in your kitchen?!? Well… you do now!

Recipe:
93g of Water 💦
46g of Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 🧂
5g Citric Acid (dissolved in cooled lye water)
250g Coconut Oil 🥥
10g of your favorite Essential Oil I used Lemon 🍋

1. Make your lie in water mixture in a heat safe bowl or stainless bowl put it aside to let it cool. I usually do half ice cubes and half water to maintain lower temperature.

2. Scoop out your coconut oil throw it in the microwave for about 15 seconds stirred until has turned into a liquid.

3. Keep checking your temperatures with a heat gun to ensure they are within 5° of each other carefully combine your lie water, using a stick blender or rubber spatula to prevent splashing.

4. Blend until your soap comes to trace. Then add your 10 g of essential oils I used lemon for mine. Stur with a rubber spatula, then pour into your desired bowls you can use old tea cups, or small dishes.

5. Set in a safe place so they can saponify, let cure for 3-4 weeks, then enjoy!

This recipe has 0% super fats so that means no excess oils, so in return there is NO greasy residue left on your dishes. 🫧🫧

⛔️ALWAYS REMEMBER LYE SAFETY, wear eye protection, gloves and sleeves. Check your lye water and oil temps before combining.⛔️
