They did it! last day of school, Zoe will be a senior next year and in the process of job hunting for a summer job and taking drivers ed. Ella is moving on to her last year of middle school and has a full summer of leadership and stem camps ahead of her. Bring on Summer ! 🌞 🌊

Was great seeing the kids do their Rocket launches monday for Ellas Science class.

Ella and I spent very many hrs today building a catio its not attached yet hence the ladder, but the cat and kids are fans we are putting a slanted roof on as well and some cedar trim. ♥️Just a side note I now have a deep seeded hatredfor chicken wire. 😑

Beautiful morning! Working on the Catio today after a trip to the hardware store, have a painting I am working on for a teacher hopefully some weeding and enjoy this Beautiful sunny day.

Ella Field

🎞️ E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial hit theaters 44 years ago today on June 11, 1982.

I still remember seeing this when I was 5 years old in our local one-screen theater. I remember the theater feeling so alive with excitement before the movie even started.

Starring Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore, Robert MacNaughton, Dee Wallace, and Peter Coyote, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial introduced audiences to Elliott and his gentle alien friend in one of the most beloved family adventures ever put on film.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, E.T. became the highest-grossing film of all time upon its release, opening with more than $11.8 million and eventually earning nearly $800 million worldwide during its original release and subsequent reissues.

Fun fact: The emotional performances from the child actors were so important to Spielberg that, rather than shooting scenes out of sequence as most films do, many key scenes were filmed in chronological order to help capture the cast's genuine reactions and growing bond with E.T.
