The Farmer's Almanac has released its annual forecast and predicts an "old fashioned winter," calling it "chill, snow, repeat."

Most of the country will cool down, get some snow, and then warm back up. Over and over again. The Great Lakes and the Plains could see winter hang out well into spring, while the Atlantic coast is expected to get a lot of rain mixed with snow.

The Almanac also predicts that the South and the Southwest could see a wetter-than average winter this year with average temps.

Whether you pack it or buy it, school lunch prices are going up this year.

A new report finds that the average daily cost of packing your child's lunch is up to six-dollars and fifteen-cents. That's because the cost of fruit, bread, milk, and condiments like peanut butter have all gone up due to inflation.

The total comes out to about 163-dollars more per year. Experts say it's still cheaper for kids to buy their lunch at school, but not by much.

As the back-to-school season draws near, we examine the cost of bringing lunch from home versus eating at school to better understand how caregivers make school lunch choices

Feeling the financial pinch? You're not alone....

A new survey finds that one-in-three Americans say that their financial situation has gotten worse over the last year, and it's the older generations that are really feeling the pinch.

More Baby Boomers and Gen Xers say that their money problems have grown bigger, compared to millennials and Gen Z. And men were twice as likely as women to say that their finances are doing fine.

Thirty percent say they're not happy with their savings, and one-in-five say they don't know what their credit score is.

The Marist Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO) is a survey research center. MIPO is home to the Marist Poll and conducts polls on politics, the economy, sports, technology and more at the local, state, and national level.

Slide collapses on Cruise Line...

A thrill ride turned into a scare ride when an acrylic glass panel on a water slide aboard Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas shattered mid-run, injuring a passenger.

Video caught guests yelling "Stop the slide!" as water gushed out, and one person claiming the rider fell out.

The slide is shut for the rest of the cruise while investigators figure out what went wrong, but with five others still open, the party at sea isn't completely sunk.

Does this make you think twice about enjoying these types of activities? Should water park or cruise line companies have to do regular checks for safety? What are your thoughts on the matter.....

A cruise passenger captured video of chaos aboard Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas after a water slide panel shattered, injuring a guest.
