One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that not every “why” will ever have an answer.
Sometimes people will hurt you, betray you, lie to you, or walk away from you in ways that make absolutely no sense. You’ll spend nights replaying conversations, questioning yourself, and trying to understand how someone could do what they did.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Some people are simply operating from a place you’ll never understand because your heart doesn’t work that way.
You can’t make sense of cruelty when kindness is your default.
You can’t understand manipulation when honesty is how you live.
You can’t understand selfishness when you’re always thinking of others.
And maybe that’s the blessing hidden inside the pain.
Maybe the reason you can’t understand their actions is because you’re not capable of being that kind of person.
God heard conversations you didn’t.
He saw motives you couldn’t.
He witnessed things behind closed doors that you’ll never know about.
Sometimes His protection looks a lot like confusion in the moment.
So let it go.
Not because it didn’t hurt.
Not because it was okay.
But because carrying the weight of someone else’s choices was never yours to bear.
Trust that God saw it all, even the parts you didn’t. And trust that not understanding everything is sometimes the very thing that protects your peace.
Some lessons don’t come with answers. They come with acceptance.
