County board meeting tomorrow - WCFF encourages the public to speak up about the numerous committee meetings canceled in August.

There may be a good explanation, but we do deserve an answer - especially now that board supervisors receive a salary.

Another thing to ask is if all committee members were included in the discussion regarding the cancelation...WCFF has its doubts.

As we get into the thick of the November election season, Winnebago County for Freedom wanted to announce that we support both Representative Gustafson & Representative Schraa for State Assembly. Both Representatives have played a part in the development of our organization.

Let us not forget that the redistricting maps passed by the Evers administration has forced districts with Conservative Representatives to run against each other. This has occurred in more than double the amount of red districts than liberal districts.

It is an unfortunate situation - but we really believe that the best candidate will win!

Proud of the constitutionalists on our County board! Both Ordinance amendments surrounding 11.08 general and individual orders PASSED!!

It will now require 2/3rds of the board to pass items surrounding 11.08 and the board will have to meet every 7 days after passing a health order. This limits the powers of our public health director and provides a wider range of checks and balances during a pandemic or health emergency.

Supervisor: “But would like to ask… just off the top of your head…. How many general or individual orders did you do since this started? Because I don’t think you abused it.”

Health Director: “When you say this start, what do you…”

Supervisor: “When 11.08 was enacted.”

Health Director: “…Since 11.08 has been active, we have never issued a general order. And individual orders, I would have to check with the team. Specifically for communicable disease, I don’t believe we’ve issued any.”
