One of your dog’s favorite events is returning this October but with a fun Fall twist! 🍂

Join us Saturday, October 10th from 9am-2pm, for Doggy Day at the Lakefront!

This event is a FREE, pet-friendly day full of pups, shopping, music, food trucks, raffles, and fun activities like a lure course — all while supporting local dogs in need! 🐶

Bring your well-socialized pup on a non-retractable leash (6’ max) and enjoy a full day of fun with fellow dog lovers! (Please refrain from using aversive training collars)

🚗 FREE parking
📝 Waivers required for all dogs attending
🎟️ Raffle with plenty of prizes for you and your pups
🌮 Delicious eats from local food trucks along with other Fall-themed goodies and drinks!

Big News for Pups on the Runway! 🐾 💚

The Charles and Jean Gorham family - who made it possible to bring Phoenix to Day by Day - are offering a $2,500 MATCHING GRANT at Thursday’s event!

That means the first $2,500 raised through raffle tickets and admission will be matched dollar-for-dollar in support of Phoenix 🐶

Come out, have fun, and double your impact!

56 raffle baskets, 15 silent auction items, a fun mommy doggy fashion show, and 20 dog expo vendors.

I announced earlier this month that I will be no longer posting on this page.

When I started Wag Away Publishing is was more about filling the void left by the closing of NEW PAWSibilities and also releasing my books.

Since then, I've begun supporting in my own small way the efforts of Second Chance North as well as creating some events to support non profits with a dog focus such as Day by Day with Pups on the Runway.

We launched Oshkosh Pups and realized that both sites are offering the same type of information. I'll be adding more information on the Oshkosh Pups website and of course I'll continue writing articles, highlighting adoptable dogs, celebrating adoptions, posting memes, etc.

I hope you'll consider moving over to the Oshkosh Pups Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/oshkoshpups and telling about others about it.

We have a new fundraiser I'm just about ready to announce and some more fun ideas.

Today is National Fortune Cookie Day. So this begs to asked. Can dogs eat fortune cookies? We know they should not eat Chinese food because of all of the spices used to make this delicious cuisine. But what about at least a cookie?

After a meal, we know it can be tempting to give our dogs leftovers. But how about fortune cookies? Are they safe for dogs to eat?...
