Flock Safety was offered to the Appleton Police Department in 2022 on a trial basis, with no vote by the Appleton Common Council required. Alder Denise Fenton and Alder Katie Van Zeeland are drafting a Surveillance Policy to close that loophole.

The Appleton Fire Department will host a public dedication ceremony for the Lundgaard Park Pavilion.

The ceremony will mark the completion of the newly constructed pavilion and its addition to the community. It will include a unique “hose uncoupling” in place of a traditional ribbon cutting, symbolizing the fire service and its connection to the community.

The public is invited to attend and join in recognizing this important addition to the park, as well as honoring the firefighters who have served the City of Appleton.
