EAA Radio (http://eaaradio.net) is an all-volunteer effort that strives to bring the sounds of AirVenture to attendees and aviation enthusiasts around the world! EAA Radio’s AM and FM signals and webstream originate from the EAA Radio Studios, located on the AirVenture grounds. Each year, EAA Radio offers 24/7 programming on AM and FM and around the world through the EAA Radio webstream. Beginning

each day at 0600 CDT/1100 Zulu EAA Radio broadcasts live interviews with compelling aviation figures from all corners of aviation. In any given hour you can hear a conversation with a famous test pilot, the last word on ATC etiquette, the newest innovation in homebuilt aircraft, or the deeply personal journey of an amateur builder. Not all AirVenture stories are told in the studio. EAA Radio’s team of ambitious field reporters are constantly roving the grounds talking to aviation luminaries and attendees; making it possible that you may hear from everyone that attended AirVenture in 2008. EAA Radio has this all as well as coverage of important events across the convention grounds such as the Meet the Administrator forum, new product announcements, and the Daily Showcase and Air Show. In the evening EAA Radio brings to you live, Theater-in-the-Woods with its colorful line-up of awards presentations, speakers, and entertainment. For AirVenture attendees, EAA Radio is a mobile source for convention information including: key events, weather, information on EAA services, and twice-hourly announcements of upcoming forums taking place across AirVenture. EAA Radio continues to diversify its programming and this year will have several new daily features, as well as unique on-air programming that can only occur at AirVenture.

Third day of storms this week has blown through, and our stream is still running!

We will be taking it down for a few hours in the coming weeks to add some redundacies, but we expect to stay solid. 🤞

Day two of severe storms in South Central Wisconsin did another number on our equipment, this time taking out our router. Efforts ongoing to make it more robust, but we're currently waiting on parts. Outage could be as long as a week, but we're hopeful it will be sooner.

Our streaming server is back online! Thanks to our IT team for working through the night!

The storms that blew through Wisconsin did a number on EAA Radio's (NOT EAA - The Spirit of Aviation) datacenter, and we are still trying to recover our streaming server. It could be awhile 😢

In the meantime, why not check out our archives?
