On Sat., the Panthers’ Kaleb Stupenhorst made history with a 42-yard field goal to win 10-7 against Lockport, giving Oswego a bid at the State title after 22 years.
OH sophomore Ammar Banire scored the only touchdown for Oswego, running a total of 63 yards with 11:10 left in the game, tying the game against Lockport with 7-7.
With tension rising, Stumpenhorst scored with one minute left in the 4th quarter, putting Oswego in the lead with 10-7 against Lockport.
The final play of the game resulted in Lockport attempting a 40-yard field goal. However, the Porters ultimately failed and resulted in Oswego moving on to the Class 8A state championship.
