A CNY biotechnology firm is opening a new research center in the Oswego County village of Parish. The company, BioSpherix, manufactures a specialized system that simulates precise body temperatures and oxygen levels to replicate how medical treatments work inside a live human. Local educators are also utilizing the facility to show area students that advanced scientific careers are available within their own communities.

BioSpherix, based in the small Oswego County village of Parish, is housed in an old elementary school that closed in 2012.
