Vernon P. “Vern” Johnson, age 83, of Ottawa, died in his home, surrounded by family, on Friday, December 5th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 13th, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Crossbridge Community Church. Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is honored to serve the Johnson family.

A cold day of Freezin' for a Reezin' is just around the corner, and soon the calm will be replaced by community members doing amazing things. The 17th annual Freezin' for a Reezin' Radiothon starts at 7:30 this morning. Local schools will fill this space, broadcasting live on air and throughout the building as they sing their favorite Christmas songs! WCMY is proud to uphold beloved traditions, representing Community, Music and You! Tune in all day at 93.5FM 1430AM. All good and monetary donations can easily be made at 216 W Lafayette St. until 4pm with the convenient drive through lane out front.
