Donald Marks, 88, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19th, at the Pavilion of Ottawa. A private family service will be held in his honor. In place of flowers, the family encourages you to raise a glass, share a good story, and remember Don with a smile. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Village of North Utica - The Village of North Utica has announced that Republic Services, recycling, and yard waste will not be picked up on Monday, but regular trash will be collected. The timeline for resuming recycling and yard waste pickup is currently unknown. If your trash is not collected by the end of Monday, please call Village Hall at 815-667-4111 on Tuesday to report it.

E. June Walleck, 85, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at Pleasant View. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st, at Ottawa Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at 10:30 am at St. Columba Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk, Illinois.
