Thank you to our Mayor for keeping it local. So proud to call her a friend, loyal customer and one who leads by example. She selected the best shirt on the market for these commemorative tees and The Oviedo Preservation Project is giving them away!! Get one while you can and wear it with pride.
UPDATE on 4/19: We gave out all of the initial T-shirts printed within 90 minutes at the Arbor Day Festival, and we will be printing an equal number of additional shirts to pass out between now and the Centennial Celebration. Details on how to get a shirt here > https://forms.gle/SMWiHv1yBwqByDyp7
Happy 100th Birthday, Oviedo! To help celebrate, we will be sharing these Centennial T-shirts for FREE now through April 26. This design was inspired by a student who loves Oviedo, and they were printed right here inside Oviedo city limits at Atticus Printing, which is located in a building old enough to be on the National Register of Historic Places, the old Celery Precooler.
The shirt is green to honor our agricultural roots and the color of celery leaves. The rusty orange is a tip of the hat to the citrus industry that helped Oviedo grow and prosper, in particular to the dark orange tangerines that once grew around where Center Lake Park now sits. And the rooster.....we'll always be famous for our era of having free-roaming chickens crossing our roads in our original downtown.
T-shirt pick-up details in the first comment! A Big THANK YOU to the anonymous donor who reached out to make this last-minute addition to the festivities possible!
