SO SAD....BUT ALSO BITTER SWEET. 26 YEARS OF DJING. This is possibly my last wedding and show. I'm sure I will do others. But this is my official LAST BOOKING. It's been a great road. Me and a good buddy, Dax Shelton, started this business back in 1999. It was actually his idea. He went to a wedding and they used HOME STEREO EQUIPMENT. HE SAID HELL WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT. 🤣 SO We went to Radio Shack and got a credit card with a $1000 limit and bought their DJ EQUIPMENT 🤣🤣🤣 AND STARTED THE BUSINESS. We DJ'ed down at the american legion for free. Just made the money from the door to practice and get started. WE DIDNT MAKE A PENNY UNTIL THE EQUIPMENT WAS PAID OFF. AND THATS HOW IT STARTED.
Years later we changed jobs and Dax was working nights and swing shift. So I bought him out and started doing it solo.
Next in my journey is when I met Billy Glenn. I was doing a bridal show down at the executive Inn downtown. He came up and we hit it off immediately. He gave me some great advice, help and suggestions. He really helped me take the business to the next level. I'm very grateful for his friendship as well.
A few years later Dale Roberts came on board and DJ some for me also and made some money on the side. It was a good gig. Later he decided to stop DJing and I kept going. And now here we are today. It's been an awesome road. I absolutely love DJing. But with my new schedule and working 50% weekends through out the year. I'm just ready to give it up.
