This Is not a post I ever want to make, in fact this post breaks my heart, a few weeks ago I traveled back home to Indiana to photograph one of my best friends little sisters wedding, this wedding was a special one, not only was it a sign I was getting old but also I was able to make sure that Teresa still got to enjoy Shaylas big day, she has been ill for a little while and almost was not able to make it to the wedding, that morning she wasn't at the Church to help Shayla get in her dress and wasn't sure she would have the strength to help, she had called needing some help before Courtney got there to do her hair, Tasha needed a ride or a vehicle and I immediately knew what I needed to do, we brought Shayla and the dress to Teresa there was no way I was about to let her miss such a special moment in Shaylas life. This was just a few short weeks ago, Today Teresa went home to the lord, while my heart is broken I can smile a little bit knowing her daddy was there with open arms.
let me tell you about Teresa and just how wonderful she was! This woman had the biggest heart, no matter where I was or what I was doing she never failed to tell me she loved me and she truly deeply meant it, she never judged me or made me feel any less for any of my choices in life. She is to blame for my Starbucks addiction....she allowed me and Tash to eat pickles for breakfast and always had Mt. Dew available, I NEVER went hungry when I was with her, she never went to McDonalds without getting me a Dr. Pepper, she always supported my photography business, I could go on and on about this wonderful woman but right now please pray for her Momma, Shayla and Tasha Derek and Dawson her grand babies and everyone who loved her, never take life for granted and tell those you love them no matter what!
I love you Teresa and I am blessed to have had you love me like your own for over half my life!
