Please join us on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30pm in Harris Hall’s “Great Hall” as Miami University Press celebrates 20 years of the Miami University Press Novella Prize! Reading from their winning novellas will be Lawrence Coates, author of Camp Olvido (2015), which was optioned for adaptation by Film Science; Ashley Honeysett, whose novella Fictions (2023) also won the 2024 Chicago Literary Association’s Book of the Year Award in Fiction; and Terri Lewis, author of our newest novella, When They Came Home (2025). The reading will be followed by a Q&A about the novella form and a reception. For those who can’t make it in person, the event will be live-streamed on
Zoom (register via the link in our Linktree).

This celebration is sponsored by the Humanities Center, the Department of English, and Miami University Press. Books will be available for sale at the event, with proceeds going to help support our mission of publishing the best in novellas, poetry, and poetry in translation.
