Sometimes after a pressure wash, you will see lines and spots on your driveway signifying left over algae and other organic growth matter. Sometimes we refer to these as “tiger stripes.” Not only do they look bad, but they also leave room for algae and mold to continue growing even right after a fresh wash.
Professional pressure washing companies deal with these by spraying a specialized mix of Sodium Hypochlorite to dwell on the concrete so all the left over growth reacts with the chemicals and the cells get killed in the process.
We had another pressure washing company reach out to a recent client trying to earn their business through what appeared to be un-treated tiger stripes, but we made sure to post treat our clients driveway and after a few hours… They were all gone! So just know… sometimes cleaning a driveway starts at the END of the job, and we use time to our advantage by letting the chemicals do the work for us!
