I have a day job, I come home and clock into my second job that I willingly created myself.

No boss.
No schedule.
Just me at 9 PM deciding it’s the perfect time to make 47 tiny chocolate flowers.

Small business owners are a different breed !
(I’m one of them 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

And a huge thank you to everyone who placed orders this week! I have absolutely loved this week’s themes and have had so much fun bringing your ideas to life.
I can’t wait for you all to see them! ✨

Good morning ☀️

If you see this, I hope you have a great week ahead. May your coffee be strong, your stress be low and your reasons to smile be plenty.

Go make this week a good one.

✨ Roadside Stand Trail Finale ✨

This video took 3 weeks to make but it was worth every minute.
I also want to say how honored I was to be a small part of this project at the beginning.

My husband and I had so much fun completing the stand trail together. For the past few weeks, I’ve been buying most of my goodies from local stands instead of the grocery store and it turned into something we both looked forward to. There was something special about picking up a little treat from each stop, taking it home (or eating it in the car 😅), trying it together and talking about our favorites.

One of my favorite parts was getting out of the house more. As my back continues to feel better, it’s been nice to spend time exploring, meeting people and supporting local businesses. And let’s be honest… I clearly chose happiness over looking good these past few weeks because I’ve eaten some AMAZING treats along the way.

Local stands.
Local products.
Local memories.

And those are the best souvenirs you can bring home.

Since I’ve already made full posts and videos about these two stands before, I didn’t make separate posts for them again, but they are part of the Roadside Stand Trail, so they definitely deserve a mention!

The first stop is one we already knew and loved. I’m pretty sure most people around here have heard of Klein Sprouts - Hamilton, Ohio stand by now! This time we got to meet her husband, Donald and he was just as kind and welcoming as Kell. I originally met Kell when we started this Stand Trail project and it’s been so fun getting to know the people behind these amazing local businesses.
And if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you already know I’m obsessed with her vanilla cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls. They’re definitely some of my favorites! 🤤

Our second stop introduced me to Erin, she is the owner of Butter & Bloom she was so incredibly nice. She was right in the middle of baking when we stopped by, but still took the time to chat with me, which I always appreciate. And of course, I managed to snag the very last coconut cream cake. 🥥😂 As someone who loves anything coconut, there was absolutely no way I was leaving without it!

After working hard all week, we may have accidentally slept in a little this morning 😅 so we made it to today’s Stand Trail stop a bit later than planned, today’s turn was for Wildflour Bakery

Because we got there later in the day, there wasn’t a whole lot left, but honestly, what we did see looked absolutely delicious! Sometimes that’s the best sign of all.

One thing that really stood out to me was the little “Pick Me” jar. I grabbed a note and it was such a simple but thoughtful touch that made me smile 💛 I absolutely love little details like that because that’s how my brain works too.

I also loved reading Kelsey’s story and learning about the heart behind her bakery. As a fellow small business owner, I always enjoy seeing the passion, family and purpose that inspire people to create something of their own.

Today’s stop reminded me that sometimes it’s the little things, a kind note, a personal story, a thoughtful touch, that make a place memorable.

Have you visited this stop on the trail yet? And if you pulled a note from the jar, what did yours say? 😊

After working hard all week and a great day at the market, my husband and I decided it was time for a date day ❤️ and made a stop at Weathertree Farm along the way for our Stand Trail adventure!

We had the chance to meet one of the owners, Wesley and learn a little more about the farm he runs with his wife, Mindy.

Now let’s talk about that sample table because that was dangerous for me 😂 They had a whole table full of samples and I wanted to try everything! The sausage we sampled was absolutely amazing and definitely a highlight of our visit.

And of course, my husband continued his sweet tradition of getting me my weekly bouquet, so I left with beautiful flowers too. ☺️💐

A wonderful stop filled with great people, delicious food and fresh flowers. If you’re following the Stand Trail, this one is definitely worth the visit! 🌱🚜❤️

What a beautiful day at the farmers market today! ☀️

The weather was perfect, the crowd was amazing and the positive energy was everywhere. One of my favorite things about these markets is getting to meet so many wonderful people and catch up with familiar faces.

I truly thought I had brought a lot of treats today but you all proved me wrong! My blueberry cakes completely sold out and by the end of the market I had just ONE cake pop left from everything I brought.

As a small business owner, moments like these mean so much, so thank you 💕✨

And that one lonely cake pop left? It’s not going back home to sit on the counter. After all the market prep this week, I’m officially eating it as my reward. 😂💁🏻‍♀️

Thank you for supporting local, for showing up for all of the amazing vendors at Oxford Farmers Market Uptown and for making today such a great day.

(How cute is this bracelet my friend got me 🥹)

From dough to done!

A little behind the scenes look at the cake pop process. It may start as a simple ball of cake dough, but with a little patience, it turns into something pretty sweet.

Tomorrow’s market flavors are:

🍒 Cherry Chip
🍓 Strawberry (the flavor that keeps selling out!)
✨ Signature Vanilla
🍫 Signature Chocolate
🫐 Blueberry Cake with white chocolate buttercream.

Perla and I have been hard at work and we finally made a decision 🍓✨
My Strawberry Cake Pop is officially becoming a permanent menu flavor!

What started as a Flavor of the Week quickly became a customer favorite. It consistently sells out first and every time I bring them, they’re one of the first treats to disappear.

And if I’m being honest, they’re my personal favorite too. 🙋🏻‍♀️💕
