I have been listening to this podcast on entrepreneurship called Start From Zero by Dane Maxwell. It is the most refreshing take on how to start a business that I have encountered to date. I just listened to this episode while I was driving. He is using a new format where he interviews multiple entrepreneurs in a single session and does a live workshop on how they can overcome their most pressing hurdle in their business. He really gets to the root of people and doesn't just provide business advice but helps people develop the character they need to handle being a business founder. This episode really resonated with me. One of the entrepreneurs, Paul, has invested fours years of his time and $100K of his own money into an app that helps connect parents with students who are on field trips to know they are safe. Dane gave him some good advice on how to get subscribers but that was only like 10% of his focus. What he really dug out was that Paul has past trauma that is keeping him from emotionally being able to handle the entrepreneurial journey. He got at the root of what will unlock Paul's potential to be creative and engage with his business in a regenerative way instead of a draining way. I haven't found anybody else talking about this stuff and guiding entrepreneurs this way. I highly recommend checking it out if you are interested in starting your own business

Watch me mentor people and show them how to make lots of money without compromising who they are. We have over 15 millionaire students and counting. Listen while cooking dinner, working out, or driving to work.

One day I'll shoot a sunset like this off the back of a boat in the Ocean Race... Some days I feel like I'm getting close to that dream, other days it feels like a million miles away. Either way, saying it out loud helps. If you have a dream, "say it out loud" in the comments below. Make a promise to yourself that you won't stop going after it and if you do it will be because you found another dream to pursue

Here's Post #1 of the Month of Sailing & Sunsets. This shot was taken with my drone during the 2018 Newport To Bermuda Race so we're somewhere West of the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic. To make the shot more dramatic, I did a sky replacement in Photoshop using a stock photo of a cityscape whose color scheme matched the tones on the water. To blend the shots, I applied a mask with a linear gradient to the background and masked out the mast of the sailboat using the pen tool on the foreground. Maybe one day we'll actually sail past whatever nameless city this is! I actually don't even know. Anybody recognize it?

While I was busy contemplating live streaming tech during a regatta last weekend and wondering what the next gremlin in the system would be, my coworker Lexi Pline snapped a shot of me. Thankfully my sunglasses hid my frustration 😂 Every time we live stream a regatta we learn a little bit more and it gets better. I can't wait until we have the system dialed in. Good thing we have 9 more regattas this season to figure it out!

Hosea 2:19-20 "I will betroth you to Me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindess and in compassion. And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord."

I never noticed it before but this verse sounds like a wedding vow and I think it is a good reminder that the Holy Spirit encompasses all forms of love. Not just fatherly love, not just brotherly love, not just motherly love, but also romantic love.

This edit was a super fun photo shoot I did back in January with some expired smoke flares in the woods behind my house. Of course, I could't resist replacing most of the background with a prettier looking forest in Photoshop 😛 Shot on the Sony A7s by with the help of and

Pirate's Cove...that was our little patch of paradise growing up. As much as I love those summer vibes, I like the slower pace of life in the winter too (although with no snow this can barely be called a proper winter). For those of you who are about to yell at me not to jinx it because you don't want to shovel, what's the point of going to the gym if you never get a chance to put it to use 🤷‍♂️😁 (But for the record, I did just knock on wood. The gym is warmer than shoveling 👍)

Another shot from the Friday night shenanigans in the Oakcliff bunkhouse last weekend. Thanks to for crushing the light painting and to for letting us exploit her dreadlocks for a cool picture 😜 Jk she put on a pretty good pensive face for the shot

We had a fun light painting session last Friday night in the bunkhouse at Oakcliff. Our resident Widsconsite didn't hesitate to don full Midwestern garb, complete with pipe and plaid flannel (and a hat whose name escapes me). Shot on the Sony A7s with 7Artisans 35mm f/1.4 at ISO 50 for 10 seconds (PP off)

Ohh seagulls, how us drone pilots have such a love-hate relationship with you. On one hand you provide excellent material for slow motion fly-throughs. On the other hand you viciously strike us from the sky when we invade your territory. Luckily I have never hit a bird or been taken out by one (although I've been attacked many a time). DISCLAIMER: For the animal lovers out there who may be appalled that I risked the lives of innocent seagulls to get this shot, I have just two words to say to you: worth it 😘

Oyster Fest...the one time of year that this peaceful little North Shore town turns into a giant party. I couldn't resist taking my Mavic Pro for a spin to check it out from above

to the 2019 stopover in New York when I got to spend a few days working with Holding the helm of an F50 is definitely one way to put stars in your eyes 🤩 Oakcliff is going to be involved with the 2020 NY Stopover too. Looking forward to another great experience @ Liberty Landing Marina
