Every sailor in the world just got a lot more connected. Oakcliff proudly introduces the recently launched RacingCalendar.org – the first-of-its-kind, comprehensive, global travel regatta calendar designed to streamline scheduling, increase event visibility, and connect the entire sailing community. From Opti Moms and weekend warriors to America's Cup pros, from race organizers to passionate spectators, this mobile-optimized platform is a game-changer.
The Platform:
RacingCalendar.org is a one-stop, worldwide calendar for all major travel regattas and sailing events – from youth dinghies and Match Racing to SailGP, Offshore, and Superyacht series. Whether you're planning your season, scouting your next regatta, or marketing your event, this sleek, user-friendly site is built with every sailor in mind.
How It Happened:
Born out of a planning challenge for the 2025 season, Oakcliff Sailing teamed up with Enrique Heredia – a gifted creative technologist and father of an Oakcliff trainee – to solve a pain point many in the industry face: fragmented, hard-to-find and navigate event information. Drawing on Oakcliff’s internal master calendar, Enrique and his team at AddButter.nyc found all available race data, to create a dynamic, easily searchable tool that makes global event planning effortless.
Why It Matters:
For Organizers: Upload future event dates (even tentative ones), identify potential conflicts early, and attract more participants.
For Sailors: Find your next race with ease, from regional regattas to international showdowns.
For the Industry: Promote boat shows, clinics, and crew opportunities targeted to your audience.
For Clubs & Classes:
Create your own subdomain (e.g. YachtClubX .RacingCalendar.org) to plan and share localized schedules with this powerful framework and easy upload tool with Club/Class custom branding, powered by Oakcliff
Bespoke messaging to self-identified user groups, facilitating timely communication about opportunities, such as:
“3 youth spots open for next week’s J70 regatta in Miami”
“TP52 team seeks 160–170 lb midbow crew in Pensacola – tomorrow”
“Attention M32 sailors: Regatta postponed”
“Annapolis Boat Show tickets on sale now for boating enthusiasts”
This is just the beginning, because the sailing world deserves a smarter, faster, and more connected way to race.
