✌️Restless Past – September 2017 ✌️
Back in September of 2017, we stopped at Cossatot Falls and checked out the famous “Skull Crusher” section of the Cossatot River when there wasn’t much water flowing. Seeing all those jagged rocks exposed, I honestly thought, “Who in the world would want to float that?” 😳
Looking at it back then, it seemed way above my skill level. The river looked rough, technical, and downright intimidating. Standing there looking at Skull Crusher, I never imagined I’d actually run it someday. 🌊
Fast forward a few years, and I ended up doing exactly that. Not only did I run the Cossatot River, but I also filmed the adventure and featured it on Bitrestless Adventures! 💪🚣♂️
Looking back at these photos now, it’s funny how quickly a place can go from “No way!” to “Let’s do this!” 😂
The Skull Crusher sign and the exposed rocks really show why the Cossatot has earned its reputation as one of the most challenging rivers in Arkansas. When the water is flowing, all of this disappears beneath the rapids. 🌊⚡

Have you ever looked at something and thought, “There’s no way I’m doing that,” only to come back later and prove yourself wrong?
