It’s Memory Monday! Meet the cast…

✈️ MOM: Always planning the next getaway. Has approximately 17 tabs open for flights, hotels, restaurants, and things we “absolutely HAVE to do.” Somehow turns every long weekend into a vacation.

📈 DAD: The brains of the operation. Loves investments, numbers, and casually explaining why something is - or is NOT - a good financial decision…usually right after Mom books another trip. 😬

🥳 SON 1: The social director. Knows everyone, talks to everyone, and can turn a quiet night into an EVENT. If there’s a party happening, chances are he already knows about it.

🏋️‍♂️🍔 SON 2: Gym now. Food later. Works out like an athlete so he can eat like a professional food critic. Will absolutely research the best restaurant in town…and then tell you exactly how much protein is in his meal.

🎶 DAUGHTER: Music lover and CEO of her Friend Group Chat. If there’s a concert, outing, or weekend plan happening, she already made the itinerary and sent the details to her friends all the while “forgetting”to let her parents know.

And somehow, between the traveling, investing, partying, lifting, eating, music, and excessive planning…we all end up back together at the end of the episode. ❤️

30 YEARS… JUST. LIKE. THAT. 😳🎓❤️

How exactly did we go from passing notes in class, worrying about who liked who, questionable ‘90s fashion choices, and surviving high school drama…to a 30-YEAR REUNION?! 😂 I’ll admit, I was NERVOUS about going.

There were friendships that didn’t exactly end on the best terms, people from my past I wasn’t sure I wanted to see, a few old bullies I definitely wasn’t excited to run into…and then, of course, there were the old crushes. 👀

One of them actually showed up! Although saying he “rejected me” is probably a little dramatic considering I’m pretty sure I NEVER SPOKE TO HIM OR TOLD HIM I LIKED HIM. 🤣

So yeah…I may have overthought this reunion just a tiny bit. I wondered if walking into that room would suddenly make me feel like that painfully shy, awkward 17-year-old girl all over again.

Plot twist: It didn’t. ❤️

Instead, I found myself talking and laughing with people I barely spoke to back then - some because I was honestly too intimidated by them in high school. And somewhere along the way, I realized something pretty amazing: We’ve all lived a LOT of life in 30 years.

And I’m definitely not that same shy 17-year-old anymore. I’m more confident, more comfortable in my own skin, and way less concerned about what everyone thinks. Although, full disclosure, I hardly drink these days…but a little liquid courage definitely helped get the reunion started. 😂🥂 Thanks for the tip, “CH.” You know who you are. 😜

By the end of the night, all those nerves were gone and I was just having FUN - reconnecting, reminiscing, laughing about the past, and wondering how the heck THREE DECADES went by so fast.

And now? I’m actually looking forward to the next reunion. 🥹 Hopefully even more classmates come because there’s something really special about seeing people you knew when you were kids…and getting to know who they became as adults.

Here’s to awkward teenage years, old friendships, old crushes, questionable decisions, personal growth, and realizing that sometimes going back reminds you just how far you’ve come. 🥂✨

A couple months ago, we were invited to design our own custom Nikes at Muckleshoot Casino 👟✨

Neither of us are true sneakerheads, but of course we had to check it out! Since the shoes wouldn’t be ready until Fall - and just in time for hubby’s birthday - we decided he’d treat himself to a custom pair. ❤️🎂

Naturally, I was there to help with the style and color choices. 🎨 We wanted to keep them neutral and wearable, staying away from any crazy color combos so he could easily pair them with different outfits.

They directed us to an app where we could start designing and customizing everything, and we were really happy with how they turned out!

And maybe it’s the design lover in me, but just like with my interiors, there’s something SO satisfying about creating a rendering and then seeing the finished product come to life. 🙌🏼

I think we did pretty good for a couple of non-sneakerheads! 😉👟

Throwing it back this Thursday morning to NKOTB’s The Right Stuff Vegas residency earlier this year!

Here are a few highlights from my view in the 2nd row (which honestly felt more like FRONT ROW). I had the absolute time of my life! And now I get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN…exactly ONE MONTH from today, ON MY BIRTHDAY! 🎂🥳🎉

My birthday present to myself? Meeting these guys AND seeing the final run of their Vegas residency, now appropriately renamed The Right Stuff: The Remix with an updated setlist! 🎶

I’m equal parts excited, anxious, and READY to sing, dance, and live out my Blockhead dreams all over again! 💃🏻

This time, we’ll be front row in the upper level, so I’m crossing EVERYTHING that one - or maybe a few 👀 - of the guys make their way over to our section.🤞

And if the NKOTB universe is taking requests…JON KNIGHT, I’M LOOKING AT YOU. 🙏

One month and counting…VEGAS, here we come (again)! 🎰✨🎂

Taking you back a few months to our first-ever Sphere experience in Vegas!

We watched The Wizard of Oz - a classic that hubs had NEVER seen before, while I remember watching it a few times as a kid.

Watching it again definitely gave me all the feels. I may have even shed a tear or two 🥹 - not because it was sad, but because my dad used to sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to my brother and me when we were little. Funny how certain songs can instantly take you back.

The Sphere’s reimagined 75-minute version is such a cool experience, with immersive 4D effects happening all around you. Definitely not your typical movie night! 🎬

And if you ever go…here’s a little tip: the “sweet spot” is the center 200 sections, middle rows - especially if you’re hoping to catch some of the falling goodies! 🍎

There really is no place like…the Sphere! 👠🌈✨

Some of y’all already know… we attended TWO Backstreet Boys concerts in the same weekend! 😂

This post is from Night 1…Night 2 was totally impromptu, and we ended up sitting with our cousins, which made the whole weekend even more fun!

For our first night, hubs and I scored front-row seats on the second level at the Sphere 🙌🏼 We played the waiting game and held off until almost the last minute, hoping ticket prices would drop…and DROP THEY DID - by quite a *few-ish*dollars! 😅 Sometimes procrastination really does pay off. 😂

One thing we realized after seeing the show twice: you definitely don’t catch everything the first time! There’s SO much happening between the guys, the stage, and those insane Sphere visuals that a second show almost feels like a completely different experience.

And the vibe between the 200 and 300 levels? Definitely different! Our 200-level view was AMAZING, but let me tell you…the 300s were POPPIN’! 🕺🏻💃🏻

Either way, we had the BEST time. The nostalgia, the music, the visuals, the energy… all of it.

Backstreet Boys at the Sphere was SO WORTH IT! And apparently once wasn’t enough for us.

You’ve GOT to visit this place if you ever get the chance! 🍎🍑🍋

They have the most amazing fruit-shaped, mousse-filled desserts that almost look too pretty to eat…almost.

I actually stumbled upon this place completely by accident a couple of months ago when my daughter requested an apple-shaped dessert for her birthday. 🍎🎂 And how lucky was I that I happened to be working just 7 minutes down the street?! Clearly, it was meant to be. 😆

Located in Fife, WA, this Ukrainian grocery store is such a hidden gem! 🇺🇦✨ Beyond their gorgeous desserts, they have a great selection of Slavic groceries and treats, plus a café with a surprisingly huge variety of food - from sushi and gyros to black bun burgers and so much more.

And before you leave, make sure you check out their incredible selection of fresh floral bouquets. 💐 Seriously, the flowers alone are worth stopping for!

Came for the apple dessert…left wondering how I’d never known about this place before. Definitely one to add to your PNW hidden-gems list!
