Doug and Telisha Williams, the Nashville-based, country-roots musical duo known as Wild Ponies, have a mystical connection. Sweethearts and bandmates since high school, they have the sort of telepathy that makes both conversations and music come naturally (albeit to the constant bewilderment of their drummers). They finish each other’s thoughts, turning something special held inside into something beautiful, shared with both one another and with their community.

OCTOBER 25 | Confluence Music Festival | DOWNTOWN PADUCAH

A Fall evening full of great music in a unique outdoor space, craft vendors, food vendors, a carefully curated bar and more!! GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY!!!

For the past eighteen years, The Hooten Hallers have been tearing up the road, blending blues, garage rock, country, punk, and jazz into a sound that’s truly their own. The band’s high-octane live shows must be experienced to be believed, with their raucous jams, tight vocal harmonies, and danceable grooves that make for a wild night and an unforgettable music experience.

This powerhouse trio is driven by the vocal growl and swirling electric and lap steel guitars of John Randall, the powerful drumming and falsetto howl of Andy Rehm, and the burning baritone and bass saxophone lines of Kellie Everett. It’s Morphine meets ZZ Top mixed with a dash of George Thorogood and Tom Waits. But anyone who has seen this band live knows that this group is unlike anything they’ve experienced before. When The Hooten Hallers come to town, you know it’s gonna be a party!

Mark those calendars for an evening full of amazing live music, great vendors, a carefully crafted bar and enjoying the crisper weather ahead.

Wheelwright is part of our lineup for this inaugural event and we are super pumped.

Grab those tickets!!! FOUR amazing bands for $25!!!

Wheelwright brings a southwestern sound of pop and grunge from the sprawling desert city of Phoenix, AZ. None of his songs are idealistic. No light without darkness, no laughter without at least some suffering, no thoughtfulness without some recklessness. With devil may care spirit, and a message of hope, frustration, and love, Wheelwright’s music contrasts between worlds of wandering existentialism, the strife of modern relationships, and the shreds of hope that can be found in the darkest and most broken places of ourselves. Songs of acceptance, hard luck, and love without all the kumbaya bu****it, but rather the idea that we are all beautiful and flawed, stuck here together, whether we like it or not. His songs are self admitting and allow listeners to meet him where they truthfully are. It’s brash and it’s honest. In his words, “everybody has things about themselves that they don’t like, they have things that they would change about themselves, but they also have spirits, and hopes, and dreams and light inside of them despite the darkness that seems to hang over us as we march into the uncertainty of what’s next.”

On his second album, The Fatalist, Carl “Buffalo” Nichols does things with the blues that might catch you off guard. There’s 808 programming, chopped up Charley Patton samples, washes of synth. There’s a consideration of the fullness of the sonic stage and the atmospherics of the music that can only come with a long engagement with electronic music. But this is no gimmicky hybrid or attempt to turn the blues into 21st century music by simply dressing it with skittering hi-hats. Nichols’ vision for the blues is of a form of music that’s intimately tied to everyday life in 2023, something that’s reflected not only in the choice of instrumentation, but in the complexities of the songwriting and the gray areas his lyrics explore. This is music that comes straight from the present, and as such, it’s a reminder that the same s**t that drove the first blues singers to pick up a guitar is still present behind the throbs of deep bass hits today. The Fatalist sounds unlike any blues record you’re likely to hear in 2023.

Just a gal booking some music.

It is fun to connect musicians with a stage. It is even more fun to see an audience some to life when they get to see a musician they LOVE perform live in front of them. I am excited to work with agents to bring some awesome musicians to some different venues in the region.
